MANAGEMENT

Sharon and Michael King established Kemble Care in 1993. They retired from day to day management in 2009 but continue to be involved with strategic issues that concern the business.

Peter King, their eldest son, has been Managing Director since July 2009. Previously an Army Officer with the Royal Engineers, he has served in Bosnia, Northern Ireland and Iraq. Before coming to Kemble Care he spent three years running his own business in Cambridge, and took a short sabbatical to lead a 6,000-mile bicycle rally from England to East Africa, raising funds to build a school in rural Kenya.

Annette Castro-Griffiths is the 'Registered Manager' and co-ordinates all issues directly relating to the care and support of our clients and carers. With over 25 years experience in business management, training and development, she brings huge understanding and professionalism to the role. Supervising the work of all office and care staff, her particular focus is on maintaining the highest standards of care.

Our Nurse Manager, Michelle Birch RGN provides professional support to both clients and carers. Michelle is qualified to undertake moving and handling assessments, and advises on particular medication issues. She also oversees the training of care staff and reviews the quality of care provision in the homes of our clients.

Client Management

Carol Condie heads the Client Team and is supported by Nigel Grindey, Sam Butler, Jan Morgan and Brenda Brown. They are responsible for most matters concerning our routine service to clients, including regular visits to ensure service quality.

Carer Management

Claire Knight is in charge of the carer team, supported by Tracey Waters, Berenice Holder and Margaret Daniels. They deal with the recruitment, training and welfare of all carers, including 'field' reviews and carer talks.

Finance, Accounting and Reception

Angie Powell-Stevens heads the 'Business Team' which, along with David Lewer, maintains and develops all accounting functions, internal audit, computer systems and various compliance issues. Also in the Business Team is Gill Sharp, our full time receptionist.
